Physical Support

Dancing puts a lot of strain on the body and can lead to injuries or overuse. Therefore, we refer to experts with knowledge of the dance sector who offer support for physical complaints that hinder dancing.

  • Dans Medisch Zorgnetwerk: focuses on the health of dancers by providing expert support and advice on dance-related injuries and prevention.
  • Sportzorg.nl: ocuses on the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and conditions in athletes, including dancers. Through their platform, dancers can find care providers specialized in sports and dance-related complaints. They also offer a library with relevant information, such as how to perform during menstruation.

Mental Support

Dancers often experience pressure, stress, and the pursuit of perfection, which can lead to mental challenges. Therefore, we refer to mental support for trauma, stress, or boundary-crossing behavior.

  • ARQ IVP: provides psychological help for processing stressful situations, boundary-crossing behavior, threats, or serious incidents within the dance environment. They have a nationwide network of 45 therapists familiar with the context of the dance sector.   • MIND Helpline: offers free and anonymous help for mental health issues, such as stress, anxiety, depression, or other problems affecting mental well-being. Eating Disorders

The pursuit of perfection in the dance world can lead to eating disorders. This has a significant impact on dancers and their environment. Therefore, we provide resources to help individuals find the right care and work towards recovery.

  • K-EET: is for young people, young adults, and their families dealing with eating disorders. They offer information, support, and help to recognize and address an eating disorder as quickly as possible.
