Six months after the ‘Shadow Dancing’ report

Six months after the report ‘Shadow Dancing’: what has happened since?

After the publication of the report ‘Shadow Dancing’ by Verinorm, the Dance Safe Alliance has made intensive efforts to follow up on the recommendations from this report. The main goal is to create a socially safer environment, together with various parties in the dance sector. Over the past six months, the Alliance has focused on, among other things:

  • Establishing a formalized cooperation structure with the Alliance Partners. The focus is now on putting together expert groups per theme, which will focus on the implementation of the report’s recommendations.
  • Talking to dancers to gain insights and ideas. In addition, there is also an online option where dancers can share their views on what they consider necessary to make the dance sector safer. These conversations and opportunities will continue in the future, with dancers playing a central role within the expert groups.
  • Strengthening the position of the Alliance by participating in conversations, meetings and seminars and making contacts within the dance sector. The aim is to gain new knowledge and insights.

The road is still long, but we remain driven to bring the dance sector together, make it socially safer and thus contribute to connecting people and making them happy through dance.
