We’re happy to introduce two new colleagues who recently joined the Dans Veilig team. Both bring strong experience from the dance field and a shared commitment to strengthening a safe, supportive, and positive dance culture.

My name is Astrid Klein Haneveld (28), and I live in Utrecht. I graduated from the Dance Academy at Fontys University of the Arts and later completed a Master’s degree in Contemporary Theatre, Dance and Dramaturgy at Utrecht University. Over the past years, I have worked as a freelance dancer/maker, dramaturg, and teacher within the dance and theatre sector, including projects with ICK Dans Amsterdam, festivals, and various production houses.
Alongside my artistic work, I am an active board member of Ensemble Nieuwe Theaterwerkers (ENT). I care deeply about a sector in which people look out for one another and where everyone feels safe and supported.
I was already involved with Dans Veilig as a dancer representative, and I’m excited to now dedicate even more time and energy to helping make the dance sector a place where people can continue to work with joy, safety, and passion.

My name is Manouk Roberts. I am a dancer, teacher, maker, and creative all-rounder. I graduated from the Academy of Theatre and Dance (AHK) in 2021 and am currently completing a Master’s degree in Arts Education at the AHK. As a freelancer, I have worked in a wide range of roles within the dance and theatre field, both on stage and behind the scenes.
This broad experience has given me insight into the dynamics, responsibilities, and vulnerabilities that shape working life in the sector. I strongly believe that artistic development and personal well-being can only flourish within a safe, caring, and transparent working environment.
At Dans Veilig, I want to contribute to greater awareness across the sector, with respect, empathy, boundary awareness, and open communication at the core.
