International symposium organized by the Chair of Movement and Languages at the University of Girona (UdG) and the Girona en Moviment festival, in collaboration with the Dance & Creative Wellness Foundation and sponsored by the Sant Gregori Town Council. What if youth mental wellbeing wasn’t something we repair after a crisis, but something we actively cultivate—through creativity, culture, and collective experience? At a time when young people are navigating unprecedented social and emotional pressures, this international seminar invites us to reimagine the role of dance, music, and cultural spaces—not just as outlets for expression, but as powerful tools for healing, belonging, and transformation. Looking beyond traditional categories and disciplines, we’ll explore the distinction between art as therapy and arts for wellness, and challenge cultural institutions to make youth voices central in shaping new, more inclusive approaches to wellbeing.
